Performing this step by step guide should get you back up and running again. Take a look at the bottom right hand side of your computer screen at your clock. Next to the time you should find an icon of a little speaker. If this has a red circle around at the bottom of the icon then your problem is just that you have muted your speakers. Right click on that icon and choose to open the volume control. If simply muted then you will notice that the small check box has been checked and fixing this problem is to just uncheck that box and okay or close out the window. If you notice that the speakers are on but don't have sound check the first slider bar on your computer volume and make sure that the volume is up enough to hear anything. If you click and hold your left mouse button on the volume level and move it up a little bit then release the left mouse bottom you should hear some sort of beep or ding sound. If you hear the noise then your all set and just close it out. If you still don't have any sound then you will want to check the back of your computer to ensure that you have your speakers properly plugged into your computer. If you still do not have any sound I would re-install your audio drivers from your restore disk that came with your computer. If you have lost your backup cd or DVD then you can download your drivers from the internet. Google your computers make and model and then finally your audio drivers and re-install your drivers and check your speakers again. If you still do not have any sound then your speakers may be blown or shorted out in some way.
