One way to increase your profits at a tanning salon is to get people to come in all year long. This is mainly a seasonal business but you can encourage a large portion of your customer base to continue tanning all year long. This will take more work if you live in an area where there is a long bout of cold weather. However, it can be accomplished and you will find it allows your tanning salon to do much better financially.

There are some ways to make your tanning salon profitable all year long. Don't expect the same volume of customers but you can definitely get more than you do now. It is going to take some creativity as well as some great deals though. The cost of tanning is generally done by the month or per session. Customers get a discounted price though if they sign up for the month though.

Let customers decide if they want to pay for tanning by the session, by the month, or by the year. Let them know they will save a significant amount of money if they pay annually. This will let you benefit from their investment and they can benefit from the savings. For those that tend to get extremely pale in the winter months, all year tanning many be just what they need to look their best.

The cost of tanning during the off season should be half price or just a little bit more. It is understandable that you still have overhead costs including equipment and electricity. However, the additional benefit of people using the tanning equipment instead of remaining empty means some additional cash flow. If you try to charge full price it is very likely that they will just be sitting empty until they warmer weather rolls around again.

As part of your marketing for all year tanning, make sure you cover the various benefits to the customers. Some people experience severe mood changes in the winter and it is mainly due to not enough exposure to the sun. Coming in to tan a couple of times each week can help to offset these effects. It can help the winter months pass by much faster as well.

Even ten minutes of UV rays two or three times a week can really help you to feel better. Your skin will have a nice color to it and your mood will significantly improve as well. Make sure you market these valuable points with your customers. They may not have realized the connection until you mentioned it to them.

Tanning all year long can help reduce the amount of stress a person experiences as well. It is very easy to become overwhelmed by daily responsibilities. However, taking a few minutes for yourself to unwind can really make a difference. If your only free time is between leaving work and picking up children then you aren't getting that relaxation time you owe yourself.

As you can see there are many benefits to tanning all year long. As a business owner you really need to use these valid points to generate more business during the slower times of the year. Offer great discounts on prices and really promote all of the different benefits. In the long run this is going to help you have a very successful tanning salon business that doesn't solely rely on seasonal customers.
