Gas has gotten ridiculously expensive, and it was time to put the car on a fuel diet. Out of rebellion I stopped putting gas into my car but kept driving around. One day, sooner rather than later, my car stopped in the middle of the road. Completely out of gas I sat there pouting and mad at my car. Yes, this is not a real story, and yet this happens to people every day. What's worse is that no one would ever attempt not giving our cars gas, it's really a no brainer, yet we do this to our bodies all the time, all while getting mad at it for breaking down and getting sick when we feed it junk, or no food at all. That's just plain stupid! Somehow we still try these diets that scream "starve me, starve me" even though we know they don't work. Did you know that 95% of all diets fail? Instead of withholding fuel from your precious body, try adding some foods to your diet that are healthy and your body will just soak them up. Instead of cutting out foods, trying adding the following: 1. Before eating breakfast, drink the juice of two pink grapefruits. No sugar or artificial sweeteners are needed, and don't eat for at least 15 minutes afterwards. Most fruits, with the exception of bananas, don't get digested by your stomach like other foods. Eating fruit together with your meals may cause the fruit to sit in your stomach too long. This causes the fruit to ferment, which in turn can cause a painful stomach. 2. Drink 1 gallon of water a day. Yes, 1 gallon. When I was first encouraged to drink 1 gallon of water a day I thought to myself that my bladder could never handle that much fluids, but it did and weight started to come off easily and I realized that I was hungry a lot less. Often when we think that we're hungry our body is actually telling us that it is thirsty. Make sure that you drink your water without lemons or lime and without ice if you can. 3. Drink as many high-water content foods as you can. Especially for snack. High-water content foods are natural foods that are juice and contain a lot of natural water such as celery sticks, dikon radish, little red radishes, apples, iceberg lettuce and so on. Eat them raw, not cooked. High-water content foods give you that full feeling and their juices are the best natural way to flush out toxins and unnecessary fat cells.
