Get Rid Of Acne - Is Stress The Cause Of Your Pimples?

Acne is quite a complex problem and no one has yet to come up with the definitive answer as to why it occurs. There are many theories as to what causes acne so this is why finding an effective acne treatment can be difficult. Many people that suffer from acne may benefit from stress reduction techniques. A lot of researchers believe that acne is increased or aggravated by stress so by simply finding ways to reduce stress you can potentially see a good improvement in your acne condition.

Here are a few methods you can use to reduce stress:

Method 1: Begin A Regular Exercise Program

Consistently doing exercises like aerobics or weight training can have many great stress reduction benefits and also health and fitness benefits. Perform aerobic exercise around four to five times a week for thirty to sixty minutes a day. You can do the exercises right out of your home by purchasing an inexpensive aerobic exercise equipment like a stair climber or an exercise bike.

If it is nice outside then going for a walk for an hour can work just as well. If you do have a little more money then consider purchasing a recumbent exercise bike as they are very comfortable to use and can also be very effective. Getting a gym membership can be a good idea and try taking a friend with you so you can have more fun also. Be sure to do some weight training too once a week or even every two weeks to keep your muscles strong.

Method 2: Meditation Or Yoga

Discovering how to perform meditation could have many good results in your life including stress reduction and an increased sense of well being. What is meditation? It is simply attaining a state of mind that is quiet. That is the simple definition. When you are doing meditation the objective is to reduce your thoughts and create a silent mind.

When you reach that quiet state of mind you will perhaps now also be at the least stressful and most relaxing state of mind too. One way to do meditation is to focus on your breathing. The way to do this exercise is to simply put your mental focus on your breath and only focus on that as you breathe in and then out. If you find other external thoughts entering your mind then gently return your mental focus back on the breath. The more you do this the easier it will get so keep at it.

Meditation can come in a variety of different forms that can get rather complex however this simple exercise of concentrating on the breath can be useful at reducing stress and hopefully your acne too. Doing this exercise for 5 minutes a day is usually enough but you need to monitor your mental state and recognize when you are starting to feel excessive stress, perhaps then you need to take a time out and do this exercise.

Method 3: Get A Pet

Getting a pet like a dog or a cat can be great at reducing stress. All kinds of research has been done showing that people that have pets tend to experience less stress in their lives. A dog is probably the best choice as they seem to always be happy to see you so they are a great form of receiving unconditional love which is great for relieving stress and forgetting about any stressful events during your day either at work or elsewhere.

Method 4: Laughter

Laughing more often can make a huge difference to reducing stress. Read more of the comics in the papers and watch more comedies on television that you like. Even when you go out to watch movies, pick the funny ones first. Laughter can indeed be the best medicine even when it comes to your acne problem. Consider some these stress reduction strategies to help you in your efforts to get rid of acne.
