If you are looking to get your hands on something new and different, you might want to try looking into gay porn magazines. Sure, they may not be as interactive as some of the stuff you can find on the Internet, or as easy to whack off to as a DVD, but they still have their advantages. 1.) Physique Pictorial. Started in 1951 by photographer Bob Mizer, Physique Pictorial is arguably the very first gay porn magazine ever commercially produced. Put out by Athletic Model Guild (AMG), it was packed full of nude and nearly nude men striking athletic poses. Because of the obscenity laws that ruled the day, this gay porn magazine was put out under the disguise of a bodybuilding rag for sport enthusiasts. It is because of this that it was termed a beefcake magazine, a moniker that is still around today.

2.) Bear Magazine. Created in San Francisco in 1984, this gay porn magazine ran until 2002 with the tagline Real Men. Real Sex. Real Hot. Unlike other gay porn magazines that had been put out by various studios, Bear did not focus exclusively on slender, hairless models. In fact, you would be hard pressed to find somebody fitting that description in any of the issues of the magazine. Instead, this gay porn magazine focused on working class, blue collar (and often fairly hairy) men. While the classic Bear magazine has been out of commission for a while, in 2007 it was re launched by new owners.

3.) Bound and Gagged. If you like your gay porn magazines with a hefty side of kink, you will absolutely love Bound and Gagged. It was published for almost 20 years, running from 1987 to 2005. Dedicated to the BDSM lifestyle, this gay porn magazine featured articles about the actual and fantasized encounters of its readers (of course, with lots of pictures to go along with them). A pioneer in the kinky gay porn magazine world, Bound and Gagged hit the scene when nothing of its ilk was available, meeting the needs of a substantial niche market. Although the gay porn magazine is not available for purchase any longer, the company does still have a skeleton website.
