It's amazing how much has changed and improved in medical science over the years. Nearly all hearing related problems can now be solved with the right treatment, supported by the right hearing aid. It's just a matter of talking to the right audiologist to recommend the right treatment and right hearing aid.
It's very sad that many people who need hearing aids don't actually use one. This is mainly because the so-called fear of being stimatized as been hearing disabled. This is utter rubbish, as far as I am concerned. If you are one of such people refusing to use a hearing aid, I want to tell you that you are doing yourself a great deal of harm. Isn't it better to be laughed at for using hearing aids but to be able to hear perfectly?!
If you think your hearing problem can't be solved, I want to tell you that hearing aids have helped lots of people and can help you as well, if you put them to use. Of course not every case of hearing problem can be helped with hearing aids, but it's worth trying.
If you haven't cleaned your hearing aids since the first time you bought them, then you should know that the hearing quality will deteriorate with the passing of time. It's very important to clean them once in a while.
Many people who now use programmable hearing aids instead of analog hearing aids say that their biggest reason for sticking with programmable hearing aids is that the computer is used in matching their hearing problem with the right hearing aids, unlike the analog hearing aids.
Yes, the use of bone conduction hearing aids is gradually reducing. Statistics say that less than 1% of all hearing aid wearers actually use the bone conduction hearing aids, especially with the advancement of more highly advanced hearing aids, such as the digital hearing aids and the programmable hearing aids.
Many children who hitherto couldn't attend school because of hearing problems can now get the same benefit as completely normal kids because of hearing aids. So, gone are those days when kids with hearing problems can't attend normal classes. All you need to do is talk to your audiologist about your child's problem. The solution is closer than you think.
Ensure that you are first tested to ensure the hearing aid works very well and is well fitted before you go ahead and buy. That's why many people still don't buy hearing aids online. They prefer to buy them offline so that they can test and ensure the hearing aids fit very well.
