Natural Remedies To Hair Loss

By: Sarah Rowe

There is no easy cure for hair loss, no matter what people tell you. Many natural treatments do work; you will have to try them for yourself to know exactly what will work best for you. Here are a few natural remedies to hair loss that you may want to try.

1. Aloe Vera - This has been used by both Native Americans and also the peoples of the Caribbean to help with promoting healthy hair and to prevent hair loss. It does this by helping to heal the scalp and balances the pH level. A common way to use this is to combine it with some coconut milk and a bit of wheat germ oil and use it as a shampoo.

2. Henna - This is a traditional herb used by Indian peoples and is a natural hair conditioner. This helps to maintain the hair and also can help with repairing and protecting it against breaking.

3. Polysorbate-80 - This is a FDA approved surfactant, also it is a food additive. This is unproven but said to help with removing DHT from the scalp. You would do this by applying it 10 to 15 minutes before you shampoo.

4. Detoxification - A detox can help improve overall health of the body. How it can help with hair loss or growing hair is that some toxins can accumulate in the body and when you do a cleanse or detox it helps to remove these.

5. Psyllium Husk - Many Americans do not get enough fiber in there diet, and this is very important for proper function of the digestive system. This is a bulking laxative agent that helps to safely move the waste through the colon and out of the body. It is a great for this because it helps by gently scrubbing the colon to help with waste that is stuck to the walls. Overall health is important to maintaining a proper hair growth environment.

6. Exercise - This is important for helping to keep the body healthy. This works indirectly to help grow hair by increasing blood flow around the body and also helps with digestion of foods. Even though it is indirect, it still helps keep the hair follicles healthy.

These are only a few of the natural remedies to hair loss that you will find available. There are many different and varied methods, some more extreme than others are. The best way I would use these methods would be along with a more long-term solution such as a supplement or dietary change.
