You can soak your infected nails for about fifteen minutes a day in slightly warm water and equal parts apple cider vinegar. The apple cider vinegar helps to restore your natural PH balance to the skin. This makes your nails more resistant to fungal infections. At the end of these 15 minutes be certain to dry the whole area of the infection completely. Use your hair dryer (on low heat), if you need to. Drying the infected area out thoroughly will prevent any moisture to remain between your toes, and keep nail the ringworm at bay. Moisture is one of the primary reasons for the appearance of nail ringworm.

Use as little tea tree oil as possible in each application as it is very strong and if it makes contact with your skin, there is a chance that your skin can peel off. Be extra careful not to let it touch your skin in each application. If your goal is to have ringworm free nails then this is an great treatment.

Lapacha tea is yet another home cure that is easily found in any health food store. It's as simple as brewing the tea and then bathing the infected nails. If you do this a couple of times a day your infection will clear.

There are some other moderate substances that can treat nail ringworm, like oil of oregano, Vicks Vaporub and olive leaf extract. Using something more oily will wipe out the substance head on and seals the area thoroughly.

Wash your socks on the hottest setting that they will allow so none of the infecting fungus survives. Also wash your socks in a detergent with the least amount of chemicals and fragrances in as possible. These can upset your skins natural PH balance, and this makes it favourable for the ringworm.

It is crucial to air your feet as often as possible. The nail ringworm loves feet that are warm and moist. Airing them stops the fungus from infecting you.

Wearing relaxed fitting footwear will help prevent moisture from forming. Tight footwear creates a warmer, moister foot that the ringworm loves. Take your footwear off any occasion you can to aid in the airing of your feet.

Remember to purchase new footwear once you have cured your nail ringworm. You don't want any surviving ringworm to start your problems again.
