Symptoms of Early Pregnancy

Some very early pregnancy symptoms are obvious, even before your first missed period. In this article, you will discover what to pay attention to in your body if you suspect you might be pregnant.

Early pregnancy symptoms can be difficult to pin down because they are very similar to the symptoms of PMS. You may just think that what you are feeling is typical and implies that your period will come soon.

Not so fast! Many women seem to have a instinct that alerts them that something is not the same. If you suspect that your body is trying to tell you something, it may be worth listening to.

Amongst the earliest symptoms of pregnancy is fatigue. Strong, unusual exhaustion and feeling fatigued at times of your day when you should have energy are all symptoms that some women experience. The fatigue that comes with pregnancy is a result of the pregnancy hormones and their effect on your body. Fatigue can show up almost right away.

You may also find that you experience tender, sore breasts. If you have been pregnant before, this can be a more obvious symptom and you may even notice your breasts swelling fairly early on in your pregnancy.

Morning sickness is another early pregnancy symptom and the one that seems to get the most attention. Like everything else in pregnancy, morning sickness is different from woman to woman and pregnancy to pregnancy. Morning sickness can be anything from slight nausea to vomiting and is not just a morning discomfort, despite the name. Many women notice that their morning sickness is worsened by smells, including the smells of some food.

Finally, the most obvious early pregnancy symptom is a missing period. If you exhibit any of the symptoms above and your period is late, it may be time to buy a pregnancy test at home or make an appointment with your doctor.
