Music has been a part of human civilization for ages. Throughout ages music has been played in different forms by different civilizations and different nations as a symbol. Music has been used for parties and for religious ceremonies. It is considered to be a leisure activity, which relaxes a person and makes them feel better. Music is life giving and this is why so many people enjoy it. How many people do you know that do not like or listen to music? With so many categories of music to choose from, it is hard not to like it. There is orchestral, metal, jazz, rap, classical, ambient, hip hop, folk, country, and many other forms. For better or worse, rap is one of the growing forms of music in the United States. 1. East coast: this refers to New York; some of the notable singers were Rakim, Big Daddy and Run-D.M.C. As a result of there efforts east coast became popular nation wide. 2. In the mid 1980s, singers such as Too Short and Ice Tea were popular. They helped to start rap on this side of the nation. 3. Dirty South: with the success of East Coast and West Coast came Dirty South rap in the mid 1990s. They independently released there albums and music, most of there rappers were heavily influenced by Ghetto Mafia. 4. "Gangsta Rap": Some think that N.W.A brought this to the music scene. Yet others believe Ice Tea was responsible. There are other types of rap music like Pop Rap, Jazz Rap, Christian Rap, Electro Hip hop and Conscious Rap. They all have emerged after 1980s and till now they have became popular all around the US. You can find a huge number of music genres all around the world. Some are specific for entertainment purposes while others for religious purposes. Its not possible to know about all of these genres so it can be difficult to identify all of them. Religion has used music quite a bit over the centuries. Music was used for ceremonies, prayer, and meditation to name a few things. No matter what religion you are in, you can see that music plays a big role. Be it Hinduism, Christianity, or other forms. Music is here to stay forever.
