The Real Ginger Lynn

Although she goes by Ginger Lynn now, she was actually born as Ginger Lynn Allen in the town of Rockford, Illinois. She began going by just her first and middle name for her adult film career. Ginger Lynn grew up in a very dysfunctional and abusive household so it was no wonder as to why she wanted out so badly. Lynn moved in with her grandparents at a young age and was raised by them for the remainder of her childhood.

In 1982, Ginger Lynn made the huge move to California because her grandparents had moved there years earlier and her grandfather had fallen ill. She felt very close to her grandparents because they had liberated her from life with her mother, so it was very hard on her when her grandfather passed away. A few years later, Lynn decided that she needed to find a better source of income to be able to make the kind of life for herself that she had always wanted and knew she deserved. She replied to an advertisement she saw in September of 1983 for the World Modeling Agency. The agency hired her immediately and the very first gig she did was a spread for Penthouse. Penthouse was a very accredited publication and this helped get her name out there and recognized in the adult film industry.

Ginger Lynn spent some time doing nude modeling for the agency, but it was not very long before she started performing in adult films. She shortened her name to Ginger Lynn when her film career really began to take off in the industry. Lynn filmed her very first adult film in Hawaii and it was called Surrender in Paradise. The filming of this movie happened to fall during her 21st birthday and she was able to celebrate it in Hawaii, a type of celebration she had never had in her life. The peak of her career was in the eighties and the style of pornography was much different then as opposed to the industry today. Ginger Lynn was most well known for performing anal sex and double penetration regularly; these acts were very rare in the adult film industry at that time. It did not take long at all for Lynn to rise to stardom in the adult film industry and she ultimately became one of the most influential female porn stars in the entire world.
