The new me is out there

After years on my own, I have joined everyone else and turned to my computer to find a partner to share a romance. I am tired of tiring clubs and pointless conversation about nothing that matters. It’s time to get serious about finding a lover, and it seems that the internet is the only place where I may have any luck.

Online dating is en vogue. It is taking our lives like a hurricane and is now officially piece of life right through the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia. This trend might not have bumped into the Middle East as yet, but will.

I ask myself, why are people so taken by online dating? I have to admit I tend to look at online dating as a really seamy pastime for outsiders. But, then again, I've been single for a whole year. And who am i to think of it as seedy to want to greet someone else?

Yes, there are, undoubtedly, individuals who get online dating sites to curb a more sexual need. Many, on the other hand, are taken by the potential of exchanging ideas with others so as to learn of other cultures with someone abroad.

We eat, sleep and breathe to work. We pile up in huge towns but find little time to meet others. Our homes bulge with single people trying to find other singles, but its just too much of a burden to socialize.

To get out and meet new people at nightclubs is almost hardly worth the trouble too. And most often conversations is either inaudible or just plain meaningless after a few drinks.

We, who live in the bursting global cities, simply can't find others like us. So we greet each other online.

There are others still who go to these sites looking for a laugh. These sites are filled with the most outrageous life-stories and images - anything goes to reach the friends people are craving for.
