What are the Best Consoles and Games?

When you start looking for new and used video games, you may be rattled by how many choices are out there. Because there are a lot. But how do you know what’s the best console? Should it be based on the availability of games? The ones that have the games you like best? It’s hard to decide.
Here are some ways you can guide your decision and pick the console that’s going to work the best for you.

About Playstation consoles

If you have kids, you should definitely seek out a PS1. A classic that many people grew up with and one of the first real video game systems with advanced graphics and the ability to save on a memory card, the PS1 can be found for a low price and with a high number of great games. It’s a great fit for a video game newcomer.

Playstation has continued to improve and innovate with its game console. After the PS1 came the Playstation 2, a game station which was better overall and included more advanced games and game play. The Playstation 3 is the newest and cost the most money. If you get a PS2, you can play old PS1 games (which are cheaper) on it.

About the Sega console

If you remember the Sega Genesis gaming system, you know that it’s easy to use. All you need to do is plug it to your TV, stick in a game and you are ready to start playing. It was (and still is) that easy!

If you want to go online and find a used Sega console, you will find there are still a lot of games out there to choose from and they are all inexpensive. Instead of playing 30, 40 or 50 dollars for current games, you can find the classics – like Sega’s top dog, Sonic the Hedgehog, for less than five bucks!

The Sega Genesis console is a good choice for someone who is looking to make their money go a long way. You will be able to get many games, as well as a game system, for very little money. Sega has so many different types of games that you will be able to find something that suit your tastes among the games available.

Stacking up the Gameboy Color console

If you want to go in a different direction than the home-based video game systems, then you need to check out what the Gameboy Color has to offer. The Gameboy Color console is totally portable and is good for kids who need something to occupy them on car trips.

But don’t be fooled into thinking the Gameboy Color has fewer games. In fact, it has some of the best games of all-time, including Donkey Kong and the Mario titles. With a full-color screen, the Gameboy Color is almost like playing a game at home. Plenty of Gameboy games can still be found for not too much money.

Stacking up the Gameboy Advance console

Like the Gameboy Color, the Gameboy Advance console is a great portable option to home systems. The Advance has a screen which folds down to close as well as some different buttons than the Gameboy Color.

There may be some different pricing for Gameboy Advance games, but there will be no lack of variety. Games like Mario Kart Super Circuit are a bit more expensive, but they are still pretty popular.

Examine all of the systems to see what you like best. See what games work best for those consoles and when you find one you like, go for it!
