What is HID Xenon Lights Conversion Kits.

By: sonicdigitals

The xenon light that we are talking is a relatively new technology , and it can apply on the automotive's headlight system, the hid lights replaced the original halogen light bulb, providing a brighter light intensity, wider road vision at night, lower power consumptions and longer life for the headlight system.

Advantages for HID Lights :
HID lights generate a greater output of light compared to the original halogen bulbs, which can up to 3 times. And its light covers almost 70% of the road, so it's good for road safely as driver has a better vision on the road. If you have the experience in using the original halogen bulbs, the bulb life is always short, but HID lights can last up to 4-10 years with a greater durability, can withstand a greater amount of vibrations and shocks. HID light is a good choice when you are planning to upgrade your car headlight system, as it provides greater light with lesser power consumption, can save it up to 25%.

HID lights are getting more and more popular, as you can see the latest car model are almost all equipped with the HID lights on headlight. And why HID lights are preferred, it is because the transition border between light and darkness of Xenon light is more defined than Halogen light, therefore there is much less light reflected from the headlights of an oncoming car using these bulbs and the glare doesn’t disturb the drivers - unless they look directly at the light. This may only occur because drivers may not be accustomed yet to such bright, yet controlled, headlights.

A disadvantage to the bulbs is that they are usually expensive, much more so than your regular bulb. However, if you calculate how many incandescent, fluorescent and/or halogen bulbs that match the durability and brightness of one bulb, you’ll find that it’s not as expensive as it first seemed, and may even save you a lot in the long run.

There are Halogen bulbs currently available in the market that have Xenon gas in them. This is not the same as Xenon HID bulbs, and will not save you money. Still basically Halogen bulbs, the light they give off is not as strong as HID bulbs, and will take even more power to operate them, resulting in more used up electricity. Make sure your bulbs are labeled “High Intensity Discharge” to get the full benefits of true Xenon light
