There are many powerful factors to indicate the use of bamboo for our clothes and home. I thought bamboo was a tree and eaten by panda bears; however, I found out it is a grass which is used for fabrics and wood. Linen, hemp and burlap are plant based fabrics used for clothing, only they are coarser than bamboo.

Bamboo grows here in the United States and on most continents with over 1000 species of this woody perennial grass. Bamboo helps to reduce water pollution due to its high nitrogen consumption.

Caring for bamboo clothing is easy for the consumer and the environment as it requires no bleach or fabric softener. "Bamboo kun" is a natural substance the plant contains to help fight off diseases and insects which it retains during processing and repeated washings. After washing baby clothes, many times there are retained odors and with the use of bamboo clothing with the natural antibacterial factor, there are no odors.
