  • Photoshop is the key to editing your photos  By : David Peters
So what are the mechanics of this "through the lens" shot to achieve the ghosting effect? 1. Stabilize the camera - using a tripod is best, a stable surface is a second option or, a steady hand as a last resort; 2. Set number of multiple exposures you require for the frame to (N) - usually 1 to 9; 3. For the roll of film in your SLR, determine the film speed (S); 4. Reset the camera film speed (Yes, you can override the setting) to (N S) or, if not an exact match, set it to the absolute closest speed ((N S) adjustment); 5. Take your picture, depressing the shutter button for a total count equalling the number of camera exposures you set in step "2".

  • Now learn how to use your digital camera  By : Dan Feildman
One of the most basic accessories to buy for your digital camera is a carrying case/bag. It will help to protect your camera, while serving as storage space, too. A lot of photographers use multiple bags, as there may be more equipment than will fit into just one bag. You can find a travel case for your digital camera in many sizes and shapes, as well as different materials and prices. Some are small enough to fit into your hand and others are as large as backpacks. The size you may require will be based on your personal preference and requirements.A digital camera doesn't work with traditional film, so you will also need memory cards to record and save your pictures. It is important that if you are traveling, that you have more than one card; you never know what may happen and it is better to play it safe in this department! There is nothing worse than wanting to take a picture, but not having enough memory to record it. You also never know when a memory card may malfunction or get lost, so it's just best to take more than one.

  • All about how to use you digital camera  By : David Peters
The camera has one small, slow chip and very little memory to do that interpolation. Your computer has a big, powerful processor and lots of memory, not to mention, no particular need to compromise their software routines to fit into a small amount of memory or trade quality for speed to avoid long delays after taking a picture. In short, your computer will do a vastly better job at interpolating the picture than your camera will, and to top that off you can choose different algorithms (often named after the mathematicians or programmers who created them, like Lanczos or Mitchell) and experiment with how well they work on a particular image. You can even save different versions of the file, including the original, which you can't if the camera is doing the work. There's nothing to be gained by compromising image quality, which is exactly what you're doing if you don't use the best filter you can get your hands on. The interpolated image even takes up more space on your camera's memory card, but it doesn't hold any more information than the original. Finally, as I mentioned above, it adds time between shots, as the camera has to grind away at reshaping your picture before you can take another one.
  • Get into your element with editing digital photographs  By : Dan Brown
Here are simple step-by-step instructions on how to come up with great panoramic images using Photoshop CS Photomerge: Open several images of a single scenery in Photoshop CS. Go to the File option, the select Automate, and then go to Photomerge. This will open the Photoshop dialog box. Check that the images you want to merge are in the dialog box. Next check the Attempt to Automatically Arrange Source Images box and then select Ok. The program will then automatically select the images one by one, and attempt to merge them into one panoramic photo. If your photos don't quite match you may get an error because the program cannot merge the images automatically. If this happens don't panic. It is still possible to arrange the images manually. If an errors does occurs, integrate the image or images that were not merged by pulling that image or the images from the top window into the panorama and arranging to the desired position. Photoshop CS will then integrate the image into the panorama automatically.

  • Curious about digital photography?  By : David Peters
Though digital photography has come a long way, beginning photographers must still maintain control of the shots they intend to take. For example, focusing and clarity can be sensed automatically by most digital cameras, but that doesn't necessarily make the picture a good one. Therefore, choosing the right camera, one which allows you to control intensity, contrast and lighting, is not a choice to make sparingly. Most often, people review cameras and pick their own personal favorite, and while the advice may be helpful to others, it is not necessarily for everyone. First, your needs must determine the type of camera you will buy. Do you prefer to have a smaller camera that can be carried around in your pocket, or would you rather a full-size camera which is carried in a bag? The choice is up to the buyer, and should be thought about carefully before making a decision.

  • Check out these cool ways to edit your digital photos  By : Dan Brown
In Digital photography, enhancement is very helpful to help you edit your pictures. Sometimes an original looks so bad, it appears as if nothing can be done to help it. Not true! A couple commonly used enhancements are angle correction of slanted pictures and barrel and pincushion correction. The angle correction basically defines itself in the title. If the picture is slightly titled then the angle correction enhancement will help it out quite a bit. One thing the tool needs to have is anti-aliasing. Barrel and pincushion correction is used to fix slanted horizons that were caused by the camera being used to zoom up as far is could go. These enhancements are used mainly for generally annoying changes that some people wouldn't even notice unless it was dramatic, but are useful nonetheless.
  • When getting a digital camera  By : Dan Feildman
When you are getting a camera the best thing you can do is price yourself accordingly. You should do this before you starting shopping online and in camera shops. Buying a digital camera is just like getting any other large item like a car. There more than few dozen brands of camera, and you must be careful not to get confused. Before you go buying a large high-end SLR camera, think about the smaller, yet more powerful camera. High-end cameras offer the best zoom, the most added features and more megapixels. Just because you have more megapixels doesn't mean you will have a great photo quality. Being new in cameras it wouldn't be the best idea to spend a huge amount of money on a high on camera. It would be a better option to look for cheaper, smaller, yet capable, small digital cameras that are quite a bit easier to hold and travel with. It is better learn the basics with electronic cameras and make sure you enjoy photography before spending extra money.

  • Using Long Lenses  By : Jan Linden
Using a telephoto lens to get in close to the action or sneak up on a subject from a discreet distance is terrifically exciting, and can yield great pictures. But the high magnification of long tele and zoom lenses accentuates the effects of camera shake caused by your inability to hold the camera and lens absolutely still. The effects of wind, moving or shaking floors, residual vibration from camera mirrors flipping up just prior to exposure, atmospheric haze, and heat waves can also add problems.
  • Photoshop Contests And Forums  By : Josh Bond
No matter how long you have been using computers, if you have ever had anything to do with image manipulation, then the name Photoshop must have come up in conversation, there is no way any serious graphic designer can turn a blind eye to the impact that Photoshop has had on the graphic manipulation and graphic design industry.
