What Do You Do When You Are Sick Of Smoking?
You would think the answer to that would be fairly obvious - you just quit! But I am afraid that would be the answer you've already heard from countless others who have either never smoked in the first place or have never successfully quit themselves.
Preparation Before Quitting Smoking
Quitting smoking is not the first thing you should do when you decide to become a non-smoker. Yes, you have read that right - but it's true. Indeed, quitting is one of the last steps you should take on the road to quitting smoking. It is the end, not the means. If you start with quitting smoking, you are most probably going to fail, and all your efforts will come to naught besides the damage it will do to your personality, your confidence in yourself and much more.
Do I have to do this alone?
Finding a support system that works for you is crucial in becoming a non-smoker. It needn't be a lonely, isolated journey which you take by yourself. Whether it be via an online forum, local church group, or through family and friends (excercise caution here), the key is to find people to help you in times of strife.
Be Ready to Quit Smoking
I know what you're thinking. You are thinking that you can't possibly have read that right - but it's true. If you are looking to become a non-smoker, then quitting is one of the last steps you should take. Please allow me to explain.
